I would characterize the first half of the book as a ‘beach read’. Nina was an abusive employer. Millie who was desperate for a job just kept apologizing to Nina for unreasonable accusations & expectations. Then the book turned to twists that in many ways made no sense to me. I finished it, but will not be reading the sequel.
