Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

Serious subject matter but the way it was handled in this book was not good at all.
If you wanted me to feel sympathy for Hannah, you fail miserably because I didn't at all.. I felt like she was a petty bitch in the beginning of book. Not how it felt like the reason why she committed suicide was to get revenge on people who made her life shitty. Bout time I felt some kind of sympathy for her the book was like 70% over
Like it being the final laugh on her part and the lives who ruined hers was going to be ruin as well. It was Revenge and Guilt suicide which is actually a real thing.
Here's the definitions for them.
Revenge suicide-One form of revenge suicide is where the person has been hurt or rejected by people who are important, in his or her life, and believes that suicide will enable to take revenge on those who were responsible for 'driving' him or her to their death.
Guilt suicide-When someone commits an act or crime that harms another person in some way, this can result in feelings of shame and guilt.
That's exactly what Hannah Baker did to a T. I feel like she didn't commit suicide because she felt hopeless in her situation. She committed suicide to get back as everyone who made her life a living hell.
Yes What they did to her was shity but her creating those tapes to short of rubbing in their face as to why she commited sucide is shity as well.
Two shity things don't make a right especially when some of things could have prevented on her part.
I really don't know how to feel about Clay because I feel like it was the wrong narrator of the book. I think it would have been more interesting if the narrator was the teacher or Jessica. I think it would have really hit it in the gut if it was the teacher since they could see all the signs they missed.
Maybe the netflix show is better but I doubt it.
I really don't recommend this book to anyone who had or having suicidal thoughts.
I will recommend the suicide prevention hotline and website.

BTW if any know if the song played at the end of the Audiobook is available for download let me know. That was probably one of the best things about the book.
