I felt betrayed starting this book. It's not even that my heart was ripped out but rather I signed up for a lovely loliping nostalgic read that would be closing out the teenage nostalgia binge of reading the first four books with a nice finish to the coming of age as 30 yr olds.
Instead I got grief. I got a long portrayal of various grief. And honestly as it sunk in I enjoyed it more and more but in a different way where it settled with me and hit a specific cord and it felt rather nice to be seen. These ladies were ridiculous but so was I when faced with grief.
