Liz Tomforde could teach a master class in writing sports romance. Or writing complex characters. Or writing spice that makes me want to actually stand from my seat and applaud. This series has been incredible from the jump, and Isaiah’s book was no different.

If you’ve read this series, you know Isaiah has been obsessed with Kennedy since he met her. Hearing his POV is all the more swoony. And that’s the crux of the book… it’s a man who knows exactly who he wants and his valiant attempt to make her feel the same.

That’s what I knew I’d get from this book. That’s what I was happy to read. That’s what I was prepared for.

But I wasn’t prepared for Kennedy to be this powerhouse of a character who is so full of nuance I also fell for her. I wasn’t prepared for Isaiah to be someone much deeper than his character had foreshadowed. I wasn’t prepared for the connection of the moments their crush turned into love. I was floored reading it all, and it was bittersweet when it ended.

I thought Kai’s book was my absolute favorite, but Liz Tomforde keeps upping the game. This series is so legit, I’m never going to stop raving about it.
