Coffee, Tea, or Murder? by Donald Bain, Jessica Fletcher

2.0

Jessica Fletcher and several other prominent Cabot Cove residents are thrilled when they are invited to take the inaugural flight of a new airline from Boston to London. However, their plans are grounded in London when the airline's CEO is found murdered at the airport.

I absolutely love the Murder, She Wrote tv series. I don't remember a time when I wasn't familiar with Jessica and Cabot Cove. I really hate to rate this book two stars, but I really found it to just be an okay book. I actually considered whether or not I wanted to finish reading it at several points.

Although our favorite Cabot Cove residents accompany Jessica on the flight, they do not participate in the investigation. They show up occasionally at meals and on excursions in London. At one point, Jessica tries to evade them in order to investigate with her love interest, George Sutherland. George's insistence that Jessica participate in every aspect of the investigation did not make sense to me other than the fact that he simply wanted to spend time with her.

I just did not care for this installment of the Murder, She Wrote series. I will probably read more of the books in the future; however, I am definitely going to take a break from the series.
