the illustrations are simple and adorable; i have no associated nostalgia with winnie the pooh so i think i'll choose to interpret this book as a ragtag team of animals vibing in nature, as opposed to a story with potential underlying meanings (e.g why would pooh "hunt" other animals... and why did pooh frame kanga, the only female character, to be a bad mom and leave the forest... anyway)
