Narrator Jim Frangione has been narrating for J.R. Ward for quite a long time and has Narrated many audiobooks for many authors over his career. I really enjoyed his work and this audiobook was not exception to that. He has the amazing ability of bringing the story to life as you are listening.

I also very much enjoy J.R. Ward's books. I first fell in love with her writing when I read Dark Lover (Book 1 of The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series) several years ago. This book was an amazing read. I found myself wondering when we would get to the part of the Wolven reveal. I admit I didn't see it coming which person turned out to be the wolven. The character development and description detail of the book is exactly what I have come to expect from J.R. Ward and it makes all the difference for me. This is definitely one of my favorite listens of 2022. I also like that there was some of The Black Dagger Brotherhood mixed in.

Spice was well written and this was a slow burn. My spice rating is based on how dirty/unconventional it is as well as occurrence. Not much occurrence and very vanilla. This evens out to about a 2/5 on my range.
