No One Compares to Her by Abigail Taylor, Abigail Taylor
5.0
The more I read Abby’s books, the more I love them! Abby writes emotionally complex characters in a way that allows readers to connect with them on an intimate level, peeling back the layers little by little as the story progresses. No One Compares is not your typical romance book, but it does have an HEA and some great sapphic energy! It’s a second chance story, but not just in terms of romance. Yes, it’s about getting a second chance at love, but also about learning how to give YOURSELF a second chance. Hazel has settled in life and in love, but it takes circumstances outside of her control to help her see this and begin to put herself first. And to finally, for the first time in years, take a chance at true happiness - no matter how scary that might be.
This is a story about love and loss, friendship, self-discovery, second chances, and starting over. Sometimes things don’t go the way we planned. Sometimes the universe takes your plans and laughs in your face. But sometimes we need those plans to go out the window in order to truly grow and discover parts of who we are in ways we couldn’t have otherwise. And sometimes the universe puts us exactly where we need to be, at the exact right time, with the exact right people.
TW: Fertility struggles, cheating, divorce
