Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage by Haruki Murakami

5.0

I cannot describe how much I've enjoyed this book. I refused to sleep till I finally finished it. And I deep inside wish it hadn't ended. I wanted more of Tsukuru and the other characters' thoughts. I also wanted more of Murakami's words. The dreams felt real to me as they felt to Tsukuru, and I believe that each one of us would find a piece of themselves in him or his friends. This is the most realistic book I have read so far. I have always loved magical realism. Though things would seem weird and confusing at some point in so many books, in this one nothing felt that way to me. So many unanswered questions, yet everything made sense.
I guess that is why they call it Magical Realism after all.
Definitely not going to be my last Murakami. I can't wait to dive more into his world.
