Cade and Presley were a fun pair.

When Presley comes into town for a funeral, no one knows who she is but Cade is intrigued and curious. When Cade finds out that Presley owns a building that he was hoping to purchase and expand his brewery, things get a little complicated for Cade. He doesn't know if he should trust Presley or what her true intentions are. Being in a small town, Cade is used to knowing everyone but when it comes to Presley, he isn't sure what he is in for.

After being put in situations where they keep running into each other and needing to work together, they get to know each other more and think it may be worth a shot to get to know each other. Presley isn't used to small towns but quickly realizes that this is a place where she could settle.

I loved seeing the grumpiness in both characters. Although they were different and new to each other, they were very honest and open with them wanting a friends-with-benefit situation since they didn't know what would end up happening. Because of this arrangement, it was a bit of a slow-burn romance, but not by much since the book itself isn't super long. Cade freaks out a bit when he realizes how much he cares for Presley, but his family is quick to help him know that it is okay to let people in and break your walls down.
