Freedom's Slave by Heather Demetrios
5.0
An amazing conclusion to a fantastic series!! Can't believe this series is over! I literally had to force myself to slow down while reading this just so it would last a little longer.
Try as I might, I cannot find a single thing to dislike in this book. There were some points where I wasn't sure where the story was heading, like with Nalia being lost in the Eye, but it all comes together perfectly.
While this book was, I felt, more focused on Raif and his struggles with his leadership of the tavrai, it also portrayed the strength of Nalia and Raif's relationship. Their reunion was so moving and beautifully written, as well as their dream-meetings in the Eye. Overall, while Freedom's Slave has its share of adventure, nail-biting moments, and of course, epic fight scenes, it is also a very emotional book.
It's rare that I'm completely satisfied with the ending of a series, but this is certainly one of them. This series is definitely on my list to re-read very soon!
