Well, that was upsetting.

Bonnie was an interesting character. I didn’t like her and I didn’t understand her motivations outside of the base desire to avoid facing her trauma. I wanted her to heal and the deeper she went into her coping mechanism, the less sympathy I felt for her, until I’d suddenly be reminded that this is an individual that was deeply broken and hurting. Her suspicion and cruelty to the people around her was so frustrating. She was an unreliable narrator and an unlikeable protagonist, who at times felt like the antagonist. Her story was heartbreaking and unsettling.
