This was, for me, a solid 4 star book. It was very entertaining, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I mean, who wouldn't enjoy reading about time travel and pirates, right? Etta's character was beautifully written and her mom - Rose - was the worst mom in the whole world or should I say time? lol. I didn't like Nicholas, he was ok but reading his perspective was just boring - he liked to rant and think a lot for no reason. The romance between Etta and Nicholas was distracting and sometimes very cheesy, and I am sensing that the next book will have corniest love triangle between Etta, Nicholas and Julian.

overall the book was amazing and I highly recommend checking this one out.
