The Paladin Prophecy by Mark Frost

I am looking forward to the sequel. In fact the sooner it comes out the better.
Will West as always been told to blend in. He is as average as can be for a teenager who moves every year to a new place. The only thing he can count on is his parents and running. He never thought that taking a standarized test would send everything spiraling out of control but when he scores exceptionally well on test that he wasn't even trying on, his world changes, fast.
Chased to school by black cars, his mom is acting strange, attacked by invisible monsters and his dad is kidnapped for work, Will is offered a full scholarship to a private prep school in Wisconsin. Convinced it is the only place that might be safe, he goes with the help of Nando the taxi driver.
While there he discovers four friends, serval bullies, a mysterious island, the cryptic cross country coach and several conspricay theorys. Not to mention a missing boy, Will's own personal guardian angel and anther relam. Its a lot for Will to take in. Good thing he can move fast.
This book was fast paced, once I got passed the first chapter. However for all the rapid pace, very little information was given. I will also admit that the angel and never-was, mixed with the kidnappers in suits, the possiblity of mutant powers and being chased all the time.
The mix of x-men, bourne and guradian angels was weird. I still think it's wierd. But it works, which is why I want the sequel, so that it will answer some of the questions. Maybe. If I'm lucky.
