The Paper Daughters of Chinatown by Heather B. Moore

4.0

I really enjoyed this historical fiction about Donaldina Cameron who was the mission home superintendent of a home for women and girls rescued from human trafficking in San Francisco CA in the 1930s. The topic is obviously heavy, but the faith, determination, and immense love that went into finding and keeping the women safe was uplifting. There is a lot of awful things in the world, but there are also helpers and hope.
