The Land That Time Forgot by Edgar Rice Burroughs

5.0

Saw a review of this guy that was like, "he's definitely not an artist, writing isn't very good, plots are basic; but he was contemporarily extremely popular and all of his books are still in print 100 years later." This would be a good book to read out loud to a 10 year old boy, excluding the racist parts, of which there are 3 or 4 little bits about non-whites being farther up the evolutionary line, but it's a nice reminder that that was the common view among most of the smartest and dumbest people living through the early 20th century, and once I find a 10 year old boy I will tell him that -- therefore, I enjoyed it.
