This is my least favourite phase 2 book so far. It wasn't bad, but it doesn't really tie up to the others

. I guess some of the characters will appear in later stories, but it doesn't feel as well embedded in the phase as the MG books from phase 1 for now.

For a middle grade story, I'd say it should satisfy the younger readers. The inclusion of a space version of miners' cancer was an interesting touch, as well as the father and son dynamic.
