First and foremost this book made me really hungry with all its food descriptions. But it’s a beautiful book in it’s discussion of mother daughter relationships and living as a mixed race child. I thought it was beautiful and I didn’t even realize the author was Japanese Breakfast until the very end. It did feel kind of ramble-y at times.
