Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
“She was Aelin Ashryver Galathynius—and she would not be afraid.”
Setting: This book is where the series does a complete 180! Celaena embraces her identity and travels to Doranelle and the world-building expands A LOT.
Characters: This book is where a large portion of Aelin's court is introduced! We finally meet Rowan and the rest of his cadre (although we see a lot more of Gavriel, Lorcan and Fenrys in the next books), we learn more about Aedion, we get introduced to Manon, the thirteen and the rest of the witches, Ren and the rebel movement, Maeve and the Valg and more! This book is a big change from the last two but in the best way!
Overall: I also loved the many references to The Assasin's Blade and Celaena's many adventures in this book :) (Although we will be seeing more of Rolfe, Yrene and Ansel in the future!)
