Adorable and so fun! A classic AJ Truman book. I adored Carey and his fun and chatty personality. I loved Derek's laid back personality, too. He is so content to let Carey be his weird self, I love it. They make a great pair. The letter gave me such secondhand embarrassment, but I was living for it. I enjoyed seeing Derek be a father to Jolene and I liked seeing Carey's relationship with Jolene grow as well. While I understood Carey's fears, at times they seemed a little silly. He was getting everything he wanted and then letting it slip. But, like I said, I get that lingering trauma also. 2/5 spice levels.
