Pretty Things by Janelle Brown

5.0

Nina, who wanted nothing more than to not follow her con artist mothers way of life, is swept into that life when her mother became ill. Vanessa, a rich influencer who seems to have it all on the surface, is deeply unhappy and alone. Two very different women, who’s lives are about to collide.

I was recommended this book, and was definitely hesitate to pick it up, but I am so glad that I did. This book had twist after twist after twist, and I loved it. It was fast paced, the characters were well written and three-dimensional, the writing style perfect for keeping you wanting more. Nina & Vanessa were more interesting than likeable, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying a single part of this book. The conclusion was where this book truly shined. I thought I was at the end, knew everything and was just reading the wrap up; and then Janelle Brown had more more shocking twist to tell in a scream-out-loud “omg” moment. Highly recommend, everybody should read this book.
