Funny Story by Emily Henry
4.0
I am having such a hard time with my rating.
It can’t be a five star because there were multiple places where the writing and dialogue became extremely clunky to the point I didn’t know what was going on.
At moments, I struggled to understand the tension and fear between both Miles and Daphne. And it seemed to dissolve with a small conversation.
But I did enjoy this book immensely. It is definitely better than People We Meet on Vacation and Book Lovers for me. I’ll continue on with Emily Henry. She can write a solid romance, and this one was definitely more romance than chick lit for sure.
