Loveless by Alice Oseman
5.0
Simply amazing.
This book not only captures the confusion and craziness that comes with being a fresher but also offers a voice to the struggles of doing all this while trying to figure out who the hell you even are.
While reading this book it reaffirmed to me how desperately important it is for there to be more than one story told, how crucial it is to have more than one narrative in the mix. This is perhaps one of the only ( if we're being brutally honest THE only) story I've read that has a main character that is Asexual or Aromantic and has this identity plainly stated and not simply codified in the writing. Reflecting on that was a shock to the system and. genuinely wonder how many people this book might've helped to feel more at peace and at ease because not everyone is blessed to have a Sunil and an Ellis for support.
But the writing in this was so true, so real, so honest. I adored how much it spoke to the British uni experience.
Loved this book and it finally makes sense why friends have been raving about Alice Oseman. I fear I am simply not eloquent enough to describe just how fantastic this book is.
