The Night Shift by Alex Finlay

4.0

This was a bookclub read for my thriller bookclub! Let’s start off saying that this is a really nostalgic book. Blockbuster for one is a somewhat big part of it. Be kind, rewind! I am not usually a fan of crime thrillers or detective thrillers, which this is one, but this was super enjoyable and such a fast paced read. I really liked the multiple POV and I think that made this book fly by in timeline.

My only downfall of this book is that I guessed the murderer very, very early on. That was quite disappointing. That being said, I enjoyed finding out the what and why of the murder further on in the story. I was also surprised by other major plot twists, so that was good. I even gasped at one point!

Overall, this was highly enjoyable!
