This one had sweet AND spicy. And it was very cute, but not my favorite hockey romance.

๐Ÿ“– ๐—ฆ๐˜†๐—ป๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜€: Delilah has a ratings problem with her baking show. To help get her more viewers, she brings on hockey resident bad boy Ian Chase, her brotherโ€™s best friend who is back in town after a whole ton of bad press of his own

๐ŸŒŸ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐˜„: This book definitely had its moments, but toward the end it dragged on a bit and I think thatโ€™s why I lowered its rating.

Delilah was a sweet character, but lacked some depth - I felt like her crowing achievement the entire book was her decades long crush on Ian. While the love story had its moments - I definitely highlighted some key moments, especially when the slow burn wore off and the pair gave into their tensionโ€ฆ Lana Ferguson writes some awesome Steam.

This might be an issue of timing. I really loved new hockey releases by Tessa Bailey and Becka Mack, and this one just didnโ€™t compare. It was a little bit of a bummer, since I really enjoyed The Fake Mate.
