Overall I am glad that I read this book. Paris’s narrative of what happened to her at the reform schools and the subsequent legislation she is helping to pass is both horrible and inspiring. 

It is not really a well organized story though and I would have loved to see more in-depth discussion of some of the events she talked about. A lot of it was quotes or things that are easily google-able.
