I don't know how to feel about this book. I'm surprised that I couldn't stop myself from reading this book even though the broad plot didn't excite me that well. I wanted to put it away but oh this book hit all the good places. I definitely didn't love the book, Evelyn Hugo was problematic. I didn't like her but I also didn't hate her. It was interesting to read about a person like that knowing that this could all be real in Hollywood. Harry Cameron was the person who stole my interests. Although I didn't cry over his death, but his death definitely made me pause for a while. Celia was annoying. I get it that nobody was perfect in this book but Celia made me frustrated in ways I never thought of. And the fact that they kept going back to each other despite literally ruining each other disappointed me. Maybe I just could not understand the depth of their love or maybe the author had tried a bit too hard to glorify their relationship. Anyways, I liked the ending though but reading about Monique wasn't that appealing to me. Above it all, I fell for the writing style. The way Taylor Jenkins Reid had told the story through two different povs was definitely impressive and striking. All in all, although I didn't "love" the book like others do but I liked the experience of reading something like that.
