Gritty, raw and real
This book has so many things I hope to see in an MC book, and one of those things is that the characters are not watered down, crafted for romance readers to like them. The MC, Deuce, is not a hero. He represents how I imagine some club presidents to be in real life - unapologetically flawed. I liked this book, but I don’t know many people that I’d personally recommend this book to. This book will offend most. These characters are not politically correct. The characters make repetive mistakes, and stay in toxic relationships. There is cheating.
The writing isn’t overly flowery or descriptive. It gets down and dirty to the point to tell the story. I enjoyed it, but it won’t be for most. Please check your triggers before diving into this one.
