Home Body by Rupi Kaur

3.0

This felt... pretty much like the last two collections of poems Rupi Kaur has published. I feel like this collection scratched the surface of relevant, political topics but her style doesn't really allow for anything much deeper beyond a line or two. I enjoyed the art in Home Body more than the art in Milk and Honey, but less than the art in The Sun and Her Flowers. Idk, I feel like Kaur has created a niche for herself and hasn't really grown beyond it. I'll likely read the next collection she comes out with, though I'm not anticipating anything vastly different.
