Slow Burn by Claire Ivy

I'm so late with this review but better late than never!

@claireivyauthor 's first series really captured my attention so of course I jumped at the chance for an ARC of her new series  This one does work as a standalone, but I would encourage you to read the other series first it helps to know characters and backgrounds.

I love a good slow burn and make it friends to lovers and it gets real interesting. I loved their friendship so much. I love how they took care of each other and loved each other before it turned romantic.

But I really love Scott's family they have such a tight bond. Partially how it's always been but also because tragedy tightened it. There is a trigger warning for 9/11 so be aware and read that.

I loved how Scott and Jenna both had great support systems but especially how Scott's gave him a swift kick in the butt when he needed it.

I'm excited to see where book 2 will take us.

I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review.

I thought I loved book one, but I loved this one even more. There was something about the opposites attract that really worked for me.

I really loved that Sophia met such an amazing guy and found an amazing career. I loved that Will took his chance at starting over and really made a go of it and made lifestyle changes.

But what I really loved was how supportive they were of each other and how friendship evolved into more.

This book was basically the best mix of sports, career, family, and love you could ever ask for.
