Who would've thought that this series could get worse. Every single character has piss poor communication skills. 3/4 of them are at least 18 years old. Gracious gods!
We obviously got a smut montage. I really could've gone without, but it was fine. I just skimmed those parts.
The further we are in the story the more disappointed I am with Logan. I know he is grieving, but, man, you gotta do some logical thinking and grow up. But the lack of logical thinking runs in the family, I guess. Also, you DO need therapy, dumbass.
What's also annoying are those pseudo deep mini monologues. Like I know, this is a heavy topic that needs to be discussed. But who talks like that? It's so weird to read that and then remember that she's actually talking to another (real) person.
Colt's confession was pretty cute, though.
Back to the logical thinking thing, this girl has made more haters during the time she lived there than Percy Jackson during the entire first book. Ignoring how unrealistic that is (I read historical fantasy mecha novels), how does she keep getting in those situations? Like, miss girl, you are being stalked by an obsessed pedo, stalked by another piece of r*pist trash, bullied by a bunch of wannabe high class thugs and their sheriff dad is threatening you. Why do you keep going to isolated locations by yourself? I know it's partly her trauma and it's obviously not her fault, but gracious, you'd think she'd take like precautions (guns don't count and she can only use jiu-jitsu if she's already in danger) like taking one of her FOUR boyfriends with her. But no, miss ma'am just keeps going by herself. Also, denying that it's the pedo stalker until it was way too late and mutually gaslighting each other into believing that was such a white people-horror movie-move.
I am already so done with the series, at this point. I can't even bring myself to be positively surprised by the twist. The ongoing disappointment just overshadows any feeling that remotely resembles happiness.

It's really annoying how the author keeps mentioning how innocent the character is. It's gotten even worse than book 1. Like, dude, she's inexperienced but not incapable of using the Internet.
The love interests are kind of annoying this time. They keep making decisions for her and go all caveman, which is embarrassing.
The writing hasn't really improved (not that I expected it, since book 1 and 2 were published in the same year). It still reminds me of wattpad. The writing is oddly stiff and lots of tell instead of show.

I'm a little sad mister X's identity got revealed so early.
Shiloh is like a 2016 Wattpad call-back: messy hun, you're not like the other girls, etc.
I hate, HATE, the misogynistic undertones though. I thought we would be over that in 2021. That's a little disappointing.
I don't know how to feel about the fact that all her love interests are brothers. It feels a little icky, you know, but now I'm hooked and I can't drop it.
Ethan and Keelan are definitely my favourites.

Most of the book actually consisted of the epilogue and the extras.
I honestly don't get why the conclusion to their relationship is the epilogue. Like it felt unfinished without the epilogue.
The extras are interesting though, the later sui dynasty and stuff. It lowkey feels like there should be a sequel in that universe, not necessarily with yws and sq tho

Ryan is freaking adorable, I don't buy the whole dominant thing though. Tess is nice. People should really drop the daddy thing, I got goosebumps every time  she said it (like not the good kind). Troy is a piece of shit.
It was supposed to be a palate cleanser, but they had so many smutty scenes, it was hard to read. I should've seen it coming though, after reading book one.

The characters weren't exactly likable, but that wasn't really the goal. It is a relatively accurate depiction, that made me think alot. It shows lots of new aspects that I haven't thought about before.

The fight scene are super hard to read, drawn out and just hard to imagine. I liked this one more than the last two. Yws definitel  feels something for Sq.
