I think this whole series is a collection of cute stories, but for some reason it always takes me way longer to read than I think it should. Still cute/emotional stories with our characters.

Really loved the book, definitely I think lives up to the 'cozy fantasy'. It does feel like there wasn't that much that happens - even though there is - I believe because it is lower stakes than I am used to in fantasy novels.

I really loved most of this book, it gets very dark very quickly (briefly) near the end that I wasn't quite expecting so it threw me, but overall I did enjoy. I found the first third to a half to be much quicker reading than the later two thirds/half.
