This book was breathtaking. I finished it all in the one night and it was such a magical experience. The way it is written feels so real and emotional. One of my favorites of the year.

This book is one you have to read at least once in your lifetime. It addresses topics that need to be talked about and doesn't soften up the delivery. The Hate U Give will most likely go down in literary history and I am happy I had a chance to read this incredible story.

I do not have the words to express how beautiful and powerful this book is. I loved Liesel and The Hubbermans like they were my own family. The proses were so incredibly beautiful and while it was a heartbreaking novel, the pain made sense. I adored the narration style. What a powerful novel.

The way this novella is written is extremely interesting. Makina is a compelling lead character and I enjoyed following her journey.

I went into this knowing it was not gonna be The Hate U Give and that was such an incredible book but this is it's own story and Bri is her own character so there should not be a comparison between the two. This one took me a little while to get into which is why I docked its star but the message and the characters are so well done. Angie Thomas does a good job at talking about real social issues and really making you feel angry about all the injustices in the world. This book really said, "hey? This stuff is wrong and you need to know that," and I really enjoyed it.

I would give this book every star in the universe if it were humanly possible. Alex and Henry are the best romance couple of any adult romance ever written. I will never be over this book and I will wait impatiently for a film adaptation.
