Wow, this story hooked me from the beginning. The opening chapter really sets the stage for all that is to come. This covers an intense story of two sisters being separated due to tragic instances. Throughout the story, we get to really know the two main characters: Isabella and Gabby. We get to see their struggles and insecurities. We also get to see them give guidance and support to each other. Throughout the story we also get to read snippets about what actually happened that fateful night. This is a story that really shows the power of family.

I enjoyed this old Hollywood story, and I appreciated some of the callbacks to the original films throughout this story. Definitely was not a fan of Joan at the beginning of the story, but it got better as the story went on. I liked Dash’s character. This is a very cute, easy read. A bit cliche, but still fun to read.

I always enjoy reading Trista Mateer's poetry. It always resonates with me, and once again it did with this book. I've really liked this whole series by her. I also enjoy Greek Mythology so I really appreciated how it was intertwined in this book.

So this is a book that I never would have picked to read for myself, but I'm glad that my book club picked it!

I thought it was a very interesting (fictionalized) read about Shakespeare and his family. Every character had their own voice, and the stream of consciousness technique really helped the reader to connect with the characters. I liked how the first part of the novel jumped between two time periods: the "present" and when the parents first met. On that note, let me say, I loved Agnes. I thought she was so compelling with all of her visions and feelings. Also, my second favorite character was her brother. I know, he didn't have a huge role in the book, but he gets the best brother award from me.

I was very fascinated with how O'Farrell described events, and I enjoyed her writing. I really could immerse myself in the world. I would highly recommend it if you like complex characters, slow-paced, historical fiction novels.

Very, very cute story. I really enjoyed Rhett and Summer’s relationship. Rhett was so smitten and adorable.

My favorite thing about this book is definitely the texting convos at the beginning of each chapter. They cracked me up. This was my first western romance, and I had fun reading it! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. ☺️
