I didn't see how this could be as good as the first, but wow, I was wrong. Just as thrilling, if not more so. Can't wait for the rest of the series.

For the first third of the book I wasn't that hooked, and I couldn't really see where it was going (because it clearly wasn't turning out to be the story that I thought it was). But, you know what, I was pleasantly surprised because it got better and better after the beginning. And the ending! It was good! I enjoyed it! So, yeah, a rocky start, but overall it was an enjoyable read.

As always, nothing short of beautiful. I adore all these characters so much.

The concept was amazing but the execution was, sadly, pretty disappointing. There were plenty of genuinely good moments throughout, but there was an overall lack of development, especially with the characters. The protagonist wasn't exactly likeable, especially for the first half of the book, and most of the side characters lacked enough personality for me to get attached to them. Also, there was way too many scenes where the dialogue was just plain awkward. It really felt like it needed to go through another stage of editing.
