I read this book as a stand-alone after receiving the ARC. I usually feel more connected to the characters of a series if I’ve read the books in order so although I plan to go back and read the first two books, I feel like reading out of order made it harder to get into the story at the beginning. That said - this book was hot and the audio was HOTTTTER! 🥵 The audiobook was duet narration with Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton & Samantha Brentmoor - so well cast and incredible performance.
The story follows runaway bride Aubrey and her brothers’ two best friends - hockey players Ledger & Dev - who help her make her wedding day escape. The three end up going on Aubrey’s honeymoon together and things develop from there.
I’m looking forward to starting the series from the beginning especially since the earlier characters make cameos in this book.
