being bound by misogyny and your identity in a patriarchal world, and the exploration of the freedom of being able to step outside of that and gain revenge on those who have hurt you. I loved how the plot revolved around discovering how the characters storylines were intertwined, and the characterisation especially winnie and binh… I’ll have to reread to fully understand everything but what an amazing book woa

the writing was just too simplistic and not descriptive enough for a fantasy book for me sorry :(
Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim
i struggled a bit to get through the first few chapters but after that i thoroughly enjoyed it
The Oleander Sword by Tasha Suri
a well written book, especially the gay love scenes, and interesting plot and magic system. on paper it’s everything i should like in a sapphic book series, but something is lacking for me personally, i can’t fully connect with priya and malini as characters and their chemistry and dynamic which made the book drag, not sure if ill read the third book in the trilogy
Home Before Dark by Riley Sager
thought I’d give riley sager another go lol. but again the plot was a bit of a let down

The Hacienda by Isabel Cañas
a Mexican gothic horror that touched on colonialism & misogyny. however i wanted the supernatural aspect of the book to be creepier
The Necessity of Stars by E. Catherine Tobler
this could have easily been a 5 star read but something about the plot fell a bit short for me
The Men with the Pink Triangle: The True Life-and-Death Story of Homosexuals in the Nazi Death Camps by Heinz Heger, Klaus Muller, David Fernbach
