Useless Magic: Lyrics and Poetry by Florence Welch
5.0
Florence is a poet and she knows it. The majority of the book in lyrics from the albums with drawings, art and handwritten entries in between, which are all lovely to look at. The last part is poetry. I liked all the poems and am glad they didn't all use the same rhyming structure. Some felt very deep like a struggle and some felt written in a fleeting moment, something captured.
I'd definitely recommend to fans of Florence and the Machine in particular.

It was a very nice, chill love story. Didn't exactly blow me away but nice enough to listen to while working.

Loved it. Really engaging and dark, and I felt like I really got into the heads of both characters.
The ending was extremely unexpected.

I didn't like the writing style and it felt like not much really happened, especially for this type of story. Not for me.
Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and MR Hyde and Other Stories by Robert Louis Stevenson
2.0
I bought this book as the story or Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is a classic that I remember enjoying when I was in school. However, when re-reading as an adult I actually found this very difficult to read. Most likely because it was written in the 1800's every sentence and paragraph is so long with such different writing than I am used to I'd often find myself re-reading sentences and paragraphs and not holding any information . Jekyll and Hyde is only sixty something pages long but feels like hundreds.
There is also the second short story Markheim which was creepy, but again, couldn't get on with the writing. And the third short story, Thrawn Janet, is written in some sort of Scots dialect and after the third page I just didn't even bother.
I'm not going to finish the other stories sadly as it's just too exhausting to read for me, but a more seasoned reader of classics with a taste for the more gothic and creepy tones of these stories may enjoy it much more than I.

This book is absolutely stuffed with action and excitement. From watching the show I was so surprised at how early on The Red Wedding actually is and the the book goes full on into the fourth season of the show. There are things that happened in season four episode ten that happen in this book, its bizarre.
There are so many major character deaths and so much happening with each character that it was hard to put the book down, I found myself reading over a hundred pages some days.
And that epilogue, what a damn unexpected new twist (that IS NOT even in the show)!
There are even characters who I did not enjoy reading in previous books, such as Samwell, Arya and Jon, who I found much more interesting in this book. I can't wait to read what happens next.
