Final Ellis Authority story is fantastic, one of his absolute best. Captures his love of space and science fiction, and is littered with all these perfect grace notes that capture the humanity of the Authority. Just as his arcs keep escalating in scale, this story keeps escalating in scope until they're traveling into the very brain of God!!! Mark Millar story is... not too great. Feels really cheap and disposable. All the heart from the Ellis stories is immediately gone. It's just a bunch of "cool" edgy bullshit. Also, the enemies immediately change from intriguing concepts or explorations of pulp and sci-fi archetypes to... riffing on a bunch of Marvel superheroes. Fucking hack.
