Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen
4.0
Update! Here's the link to my full review on the blog: http://www.bookishrealmreviews.com/2018/07/saint-anything-by-sarah-dessen.html
woahhh...this book was actually really good. It's not like I haven't read a good Sarah Dessen book, but my goodness. I feel like this book tackled so many different issues and so many good issues. I love that we watch the main character grow into herself after spending so much time living in the shadow of her brother. I don't know if I could have even handled half of the stuff that was discussed in this book. It was written beautifully. I'll be doing a full review of this book soon so be on the look out for it.

2.5 stars. Soooooo I see that this book has a lot of hype. Some of me understands why and most of me doesn't. This was one hell of a journey that I shouldn't have taken. It was so hard to even relate to the characters. The bi-sexual rep was all types of wrong and the book was predictable as hell. I honestly could have spent my time reading something else but I wanted to see why everyone has been talking about this book. I'll be writing a full review soon so make sure you check that out once I post it on here.

Meet Your Baker by Ellie Alexander
3.0
This was such a cute book! Ahhh it had solid, strong characters and what I enjoyed most was that I had no idea who committed the murder. I'm a sucker for mystery books that take place in a bakeries and this one was no different. The writing was easy to follow and I loved that the theater was included in this book. I definitely will be writing a full review of this book and will be continuing the series.
Don't Fail Me Now by Una LaMarche
3.0
Sooooo I finally finished this book. It took forever because I was listening to it on audiobook in the car and my commute to work is no longer as long as it was before I moved. The premise for this book was good; however, I think that Una LaMarche didn't deliver the way that I expected. I didn't think that the romance was necessary and I also felt as though she spend to long dragging out certain sections of the book. I'll be discussing more of my issues with the book in my review. It was just an okay book. I'm not sure I'll be interested in picking up anything else from her.
A Thousand Beginnings and Endings by Elsie Chapman, Ellen Oh

Update 8/28/18. Here's my full review: http://www.bookishrealmreviews.com/2018/08/a-thousand-beginnings-endings-by-ellen.html
I’m finally finished lol it felt like it took forever for me to finish this book! I can say that it was well worth the read though. I’m usually hesitant about reading anthologies because usually I don’t enjoy most of the stories included but this was definitely an exception. The stories were engaging and I thought they did a wonderful job of re-telling Asian myths and legends. I have a full written review that I’ll be posting on my blog soon!

Firefight by Brandon Sanderson

September 2018: so re-reading this made me realize I didn’t remember anything from my first time reading it which is okay. I did notice that it was a little slower for me than the first book but the last 30 or so pages were extremely explosive. I would give a 4.5 stars this time around.

Harley & Ivy Meet Betty & Veronica by Marc Andreyko, Paul Dini

This comic was sooooo cute! I don’t know why people have rated it so low. It wasn’t the best written comic book however it was so fun to see the worlds mash up and see the appearances of so many characters from DC. I didn’t know how they were going to incorporate both words but they did such an amazing job! I highly doubt there will be another volume of this because it ended so well but I absolutely enjoyed it.
A Duke by Default by Alyssa Cole

Another amazing addition to the series! I’m soooo excited for the next book.

This book...I was absolutely speechless when I finished it. If you haven't read this book please pick it up. It's worth it. And it's so very important to what is going on in the world today.
Drama High: The Fight by L. Divine

Sooooo haha this book was okay. I enjoyed it but it was the writing that brought down the rating. Sometimes the writing was really good and truly captured the voice of Jayd and other times it felt forced. I will be continuing the series because I’m interested in seeing what’s going to happen to Jayd and the rest of her friends. Overall a good pick for teen readers.
