Fun (and sexy) peter pan re-telling. Check trigger warnings for sure. Would have loved to know more about that magic and world setting

It was ok. Its been 10+ years since reading the original hunger games books and I was so so so excited to get back into this world but I was a bit underwhelmed.
its a villain origin story for sure, I hate that for a good portion of the book I was forced to feel sorry for snow. I never fully fell for it though....not sure if that was the autors' intent or not.
There's not much new or background information about the games, just a small glimpse of how they started.
Over all, just ok

I wasn't too sure I was going to like this. I LOVE greek mythology and love to read new and interesting takes on the stories and relationships of that time. I think I was a bit nervous that the romance was going to be the only focus of this novel but I was wrong. Its a greek gods type of world that was new, different and fresh compared to a lot of what I read and I enjoyed being immersed in the world. I also enjoyed the ties to the politics the characteristics were involved in. Pleasantly surprised!

Fun read.....wish there was more covering the game on the island. Christopher added a nice touch to the main characters motive for playing and I love that he was incorporated into the game at the end

Ok, so Perseus is an ass, got it. Love a feminist retelling of greek mythology. I really loved Medusa's part- perspective is everything! Also the ending kind of made me mad, not for the writing or plot, just because i am not too familiar with this story so I didn't see it coming. Justice for Danae!

I just found that I didn't care about anything that was happening or had happened with the characters. Which was somewhat the point....they were not good people, and it is a revenge story against them.
I will say that I did not see the ending coming until it was being unraveled and explained, but it didn't change my how I felt about everything leading up to it
