Asa was definitely unhinged! I did enjoy the book for the story line. Carter (Luke) and Sloan had me closing my eyes from time to time with all the chances they were taking in this book doing things that could get them caught.
Asa is a character you just want to get away from. You also feel a little empathy for him because his father couldn’t be the father he needs to be and his mother was just no help either. He had to grow up thinking less than of women and that is just sad. It wasn’t right to do the things he did. The story line was good. I liked how it ended.

This book moved me alone the entire time. This review will feel a little hypocritical. Most parts made this book good and then it fell flat. Yet, I my decision can go both ways with it being ok and really good.
As the story progress I couldn’t put the book down. I needed to know who was really the friend, on her side or really trying to get rid of her. At one point I believed I figured it out. Seriously was hoping that wasn’t the direction but I was right.
The story towards the end is where the book felt flat to me. It made the story plot feel forced to me. Although, I learned the reason it still did not give me the satisfaction I was looking for. Three in a half stars because I was engaged for most of the book. That is a plus. One part was shocking because wtf! You have to be really be desperate to go with that plan (haha). I wasn’t expecting that part. Easy, fast pace book to start and finish. (Read with audio)

Wow! From the beginning, you could tell things were going to take a turn for the worse. Mia couldn't catch a break! Her best friends turned out to be her worst enemies, and her man cheated on her. (Things aren't always as they seem.) There were people getting hurt, a baby kidnapped, stalking, and trust issues everywhere. This book kept me on the edge of my seat!

This book was magical! If I had the time and energy, I would’ve read it in one sitting. Three sittings were still good enough.
I chose the audiobook version, and the sound effects combined with the narrator's performance really enhanced the experience. It made the book even more engaging.
There were moments where Malik frustrated me. He had a rough life, losing his mother at just seven and feeling neglected. He developed a strong brotherly bond with a boy from the orphanage, showing the love in his heart was definitely there. However, his constant anger was exhausting. He refused to listen and was quick to anger. From a character development perspective, I wish he had grown out of that.
I didn’t care for his love interest because something felt off about her.
Despite that, I really enjoyed the entire book.
