I got off to a slow start with The Other Queen. I just couldn't get into it for the first twenty pages or so, but that didn't last for long. Once Queen Mary attempted her first escape, I was hooked. Philippa Gregory never disappoints me!

Her Fearful Symmetry was so completely different from The Time Traveler's Wife, it's hard it believe they were written by the same person. Niffenegger set the bar pretty high with The Time Traveler's Wife, so I was prepared to be a bit disappointed with Her Fearful Symmetry.I wasn't , though. Not in the slighest bit! I feel as though I've just returned from a completely unexpected and grand adventure.

I'm not a fan of ghost stories, yet this is one I would recommend since it's far from average. Niffenegger demonstrates that she definitely has a knack for writing with a 'wow' factor, and judging from the 16, 000+ reviews here on Goodreads, I am guessing that most readers will agree with me, even if they didn't like the book. I finished Her Fearful Symmetry wanting more from this incredible author. I can't wait for her next novel!
