Salt & Stone by Victoria Scott

The moment I finished "Fire & Flood" last year I really wanted to know what happened to Tella and Madox and was the wait worth it?

Yes it was "Salt & Stone" was a beautiful follow up to "Fire & Flood" we were introduced to some new comers my favorite being Cotton we also learn that Tella and Guy's relationship is a little shaky since the end of "Fire & Flood" I won't spoil much but at one point I nearly cried in public due a death of a character that I liked and it was sad to see him go.

The ending to "Salt & Stone" leaves you wanting more to know what happens next.

Hopefully there's a third and final book because I hate cliffhangers.

For morbidly curious this book gives us a little more insight into the five factions what they mean etc... and it also goes into detail about why each faction has that particular name which is very useful it also explains what they mean too if you're interested little snippets of what each faction does this book is for you plus it has snippets from Allegiant too.

I got this with the latest book set of the Divergent series (2013 re-release editions) I don't know the official name for them anyway.

And this dragged on for longer then it needed to and nothing really happened accept for one thing seems Alexia's sister seems to be pregnant good just end the book on that note shall we? Why not sure we're all pleased with that.

Yeah 3 stars because it was better then Delirium in that the writing wasn't horrible despite the dragging story.

Considering that I've never read anything by Carrie Ryan before I was pleasantly surprised by Daughter of Deep Silence a well written and well paced female revenge story (I need more books like this in my life seriously) in this book we meet Frances Mace a survivor from the luxury yacht Presephone which was said to have been struck by a rogue wave.

Frances is the daughter of murdered parents, the friend of a dead girl she's the lover of an enemy and she will have her revenge.

I had numerous binge reading sessions with this book as it was one of those books that I found hard to put down and another thing I loved about this book sometimes when you thought you knew where the story was going you'd be caught off guard and I love it when writers do this.

A very good book and I will be looking into buying more books by this author.
The Selection Stories: The Prince & the Guard by Kiera Cass

It was nice to be back in this world again if only for a short while but for once we see things from both Aspen's and Maxon's POV it was a nice spin on things as we get a glimpse before The Selection begins (First novella is about Maxon and the events leading up to the events in book one) and the second novella takes place between book two in Aspen's POV we see he likes the girl called Lucy but he still checks on America from time to time plus we get a glimpse at the rebels too and how Aspen reacts to the situations was interesting to say the least.

I wanted to take my with this despite the shortness of it we do get some extra content as well so it's worth getting if you want more insight in the world of The Selection series.

And I just couldn't help myself I had to finish this book and it doesn't come out in the UK until October well all I can say this spin-off trilogy is a gem and I have a few characters I'm rooting for well mainly Maddox and of course Crystal and maybe Becca too yes I'm counting her as well she does have a minor role in this book but damn it she is important and by the way I'm still unswayed about Farrell he's probably an anti-hero possibly hard to tell at this point but heck this book has made to my favorites list because it was brilliant and I had a hard time putting down and the fact that I was always on edge everytime a chapter ended.

A good read and I look forward book two and I also recommend reading the Falling Kingdoms books as well.

And Marie Lu is becoming one of those auto-buy authors for me at least I have the last two books anyway and well this book I got last year has been sitting on my TBR pile for a very longtime and it seems the fanbase for this book is very small which is a damn shame.

If you haven't noticed I've had a hard time not putting this book down but hands down my favorite character by far Day a master of sassy comebacks sorry June you may be a Prodigy and all but Day is just awesome.

And another positive a nice satisfying ending will start book two pretty soon needless to say I love this book if you haven't noticed.

Well I legitimately felt myself tearing up near the end of this book...At least I took a bit of break before reading this book so I could go into it straight on and well it helped and I decided to take my time to finish Champion and I'm pleased say to the ending is both beautiful and heartbreaking and there's a slight chance you'll be emotional wreck afterwards...

This was a brilliant trilogy and I'm sad to finish it.
