A big piece of the backstory was missing which left the ending to fall flat.

I’m left with more questions than answers. I liked each brother and really liked Max. It felt  but slow in places but I like how the story unfolded.

Both main characters were problematic and I’m not a fan of the ending. There was an odd time jump that felt rushed.

I was drawn to Miss Isabelle and Dorie’s stories that jumped from the past to the present. I thought I knew the twist but was pleased that I was able to be surprised. One of those stories that leaves one wondering so many “what if’s”. Miss Isabelle’s early chapters were hard to listen to because of her naivety and immaturity.

Enjoyed the story and the ending. Emma was a bit too wishy-washy at points. I liked how her relationship with her sister evolved.

I enjoyed this story and the cast of characters in this town. I love how she was able to set up a banned bookshop and uncovered a town secret.

Learned a lot about Sag Harbor community and history. Centered on Olivia’s story but Billie’s is unfolding too.
