Richard, Eddie, and Alannah are back again for another adventure. Howalt has created a casually inclusive world where disability is accommodated without fuss, difference is accepted, and second chances are granted. A light, easy read!

Okay, so you know how Fight Club was this massive takedown of toxic masculinity and late-stage capitalism, right? And you know how all the crypto bros and incels and men's rights activists completely missed the point? You know how they all revere a book – sorry, a film – that actively maligns and demeans them because they're too thick (wilfully or otherwise) to understand what it's really about?

Now imagine Fight Club re-written so as to make it glaringly obvious that, no, my dude, this book isn't for you. Imagine a Fight Club that straight-up tells those guys they are the butt of the joke.

I mean, come on… For Pete's sake. The Tyler Durden character is literally called Tyler.

Anyways, if you loved Fight Club because you actually read and understood it and you'd appreciate a fresh take on the story, you're going to love this book. If you read – sorry, watched – Fight Club and thought, Yeah! Big muscly men doing big muscly man things, yeah! <chest bump> … well, then you're probably not reading this review. Because you can't read.

But if you're looking for hot man-on-man werewolf action … sorry, but you'll probably be disappointed by this one. It's not that kind of book.

Read it for the found family, for the intentional inclusivity, for the friend-mance, for the satirical view of testosterone-fuelled hyper-capitalism.
