Gray diminishes his own arguments by arguing them awfully. It's also ironic to write an entire book about how humanity is arrogant to think they're in any way different to animals while being so arrogant in his writing, implying that he is the Only One to have ever questioned these ideas. I picked this up because I thought it looked really interesting - sorely disappointed, and excited to go back to some real philosophy
