I have such mixed feelings about this book.
Firstly, the author promoted the book by saying it included "marriage of convenience to our favorite ace-aro" and I was left with the impression that it would be a polyamorous relationship between three people. But nah, Dionysus is the ace-aro character (confirmed in previous books) and he was just BARELY in the book. I had been waiting this book for MONTHS, so excited about getting some asexual aromantic representation but the book doesn't even mention the words asexual or aromantic (yes, I checked). At this point, why even mention the whole marriage of convenience when it's barely even mentioned in the book.

But, alas, I loved the couple. Especially how OBSESSED Asterion was with Ariadne. Boy obsessed is one of my favorite tropes.

I think the book could've had more of the politics that really drive the plot forward in this series. I feel like, politically, nothing much happened. The lack of politics in these latest books is a pity because it really has made this series so good.

First half was pretty slow and got boring at times. The second half was better but the whole thing felt kind of "meh" so I'm hoping the next book will be better.
