Malone is on a mission/ revenge and we knew of it from the previous book but not the revenge part. He wants revenge against Scarlett's father so what does he do when he puts his plans into motion? He inserts himself in Scarlett's life, makes a deal with her and makes her his fake fiancé in exchange for protection to her family except not everything goes according to plan.
He didn't plan on having chemistry with her and he certainly didn't plan on liking her and like some people say, you can run but you can't hide which seems accurate when talking about Malone.

I must say I struggled at times with him because he was such an a-- to Scarlett, said not very nice things to her just to be an a-- but then in his pov he would feel a certain way or say it was just to keep up the ruse where it comes to a point where I couldn't trust him at all so I was a bit skeptical of him and what would happen to him and Scarlett.

Scarlett was a nice surprise. She was easily distracted by Malone's seduction but she wasn't gullible and she knew that he wasn't who he wanted her to believe he was. She didn't coward easily either but the most important thing was that when it mattered, she was smart when i thought she wouldn't, and what a nice surprise that was. Scarlett had a spine and somewhat of an attitude and I liked that.

The finale was illuminating to say the least. The truth was revealed, people survived, emotions were at an all time high and The knights were there watching it unfold. In this instance I wished Scarlett wasn't so soft because imo someone needed to not be present anymore (if you know what I mean👀) however Malone got closure as best as he could so I can't complain.
He lied from the beginning so I don't get why he just took off. I mean, i do. He got scared and like a coward, he just gave up the thing his fellow Knights have. Love.
Not too happy about his decision but it didn't take long to come back and fix the error of his ways.
Scarlett put things into motion to get him there and she made him admit his feelings but I wish it was the other way around because he was the one who lied all along yet she was the one to take the first step and she even asked him to marry him which let me just say, I love a fmc who is the one to pop the question and not the mmc so I'm not bad about that. 😌
Their relationship is based on a bdsm dynamic so take that as you will. Imo i wished we could've had a bit more of them just coexisting and not going at it for what felt like every chapter. Now I liked those spicyy times but it felt like too much at a certain point but I guess that's just my preference.

Either way it's a solid 4 star read and I hope you enjoy Scarlett & Malone!
Smith is next! Like what?! It didn't even cross my mind he would have his book because he feels too mysterious and dare I say old? 😂 Don't worry, I think of him as a hot silver fox and I'm all over that but I wonder if I'm even right about that. I feel like we don't even know his age except that he has a daughter but this man is like a dark mysterious mist and I don't know what to make of him except that I'm excited for his story and to finally know what elusive Smith is all about.

The narration was as always so damn good. They sure know how to bring life to these characters!

I was very excited for Nero's book but sadly it didn't go as I expected.
I really liked Cinder and the way her relationship with Nero started. She had a rough life because of her family. Despite that she didn't feel like she was less for working the job she had and she was so kind towards others.
I love Nero since Asher's book so it's not a surprise that I loved him in his book too.
Nero was engaged before and he thought he was in love. It was sad to know he never saw love in action except for his brothers now.
Nero is the most hopeful of the brothers in a way. He was the one with a soft heart so it was nice to see him find someone that accepted him for who he was without judging him.
I'm happy they are together. I loved that Nero never thought less of Cinder just because of her job.

Cinder's "secret" was what brought this down for me. Imo it didn't make sense for her to not tell him who she was and for the break up to happen because she had plenty of opportunities to tell him even before they started dating each other. It should come out before they started seeing each other romantically and then put him the feelings and emotions of the break up that happened and then they would reconcile and that could've still happened the way it did. I was not very happy about how things went down but that's just my opinion. Don't let this keep you from reading the book because it still is a good story plus Nero is 🔥.

This book started somewhat slow in some aspects but it was just picking up the pace for the rollercoaster of emotions that was to come. Lots of revelations happened but new questions appeared and i honestly can't wait to read the next and find out if I'm right or not.
Cass finally is who she is supposed to be but i wonder how much she gonna change this world and the lives of her people.
Damien (and me 😅) was put through a lot. I mean every character was to be honest and it was hard at times seeing what Cass was going through and also Damien. Damien was tortured so much already and the cruel fates wanted to F him again but he said enough was enough and he did something about it. The deal he made was very ominous... It felt like Eris asked for his first born and it felt a bit icky. I look to see what she will ask in return and how that plays into moving forward.
I loved these two so much still and I just wanna see them rule the world as King & Queen.
Cass secret was the frustrating but I also understand why she kept it a secret and it isn't like Damien can judge her for it so I'll leave it at that.

I can't get into much detail but Barrett... My sweet sweet Barrett. Luna managed to make me cry so yay for her 👀 but wtf... I refuse to believe that happened at all and I have a theory about it.
With that say everything is up in the air, people are still recuperating and I can't wait to read the next book.

What a delightful read this was! It's the first debut novel by this author and I'm impressed with what she wrote as it is the first book. I loved the story, characters and the representation it has ranging from chronic anxiety to Pokemon. It was endearing, sweet with a dash of possessiveness and the spice was 🎇.

I loved Abbie. She was sunshine when she was herself. I feel like she was so well written. She was adorable when she felt embarrassed and that happened a couple times. She was hard-working even though the job she was doing wasn't the dream one but she will fake it until she makes it.
I love that even through her struggles in her work, she tried to do it until she got it and she never put blame on her boss, Aiden, or anyone else. I appreciated that others saw how much she did without announcing it to the world.
She still has an ongoing battle with her chronic anxiety and her troublesome mother but she takes a day at a time. She has friends in her corner that i adored and now she has Aiden too.
I like the fact that Abbie stopped or asked for time to make big decisions like jumping in a fling of sorts/ relationship with her boss. She thought things through and I loved that she knew herself enough to acknowledge what she could handle and what she couldn't.

Aiden had a tough childhood and he was forced to take care of his sisters and his mother so as an adult his goal is to earn enough money so that his family doesn't have to go through rough times like in the past which lead to just work and not have a life outside of it until Abbie appears in his life.
He was such a good boss but also a good man. He had his feet firmly on the ground and his eye on the price but he just couldn't purge Abbie from his thoughts and he tried to so when an opportunity to have Abbie presented itself , he couldn't refuse.
I loved that he explicitly asked for Abbie's consent every step of the way especially because what Abbie deals with on a daily basis.
He was supportive in every way he could and I just loved seeing them fall in love.
I'm not a big fan of keeping relationships a secret however I like how Violet wrote it. Aiden felt like Abbie deserved a lot more than that and felt bad about it but they both agreed it was for the best. Safe to say, it didn't take long until the secret came out.

The third act break up was somewhat expected but I have to say that it was well done because it showcased this man who was always in control of everything, just lose it and yes he let Abbie go because of it but he immediately regretted it (with the push of Claire and his mom) which in turn made him in a way feel and know how Abbie feels whenever she is overwhelmed with emotions and needs space and time to put herself together again.
On the other side of things, this served to push Abbie towards her dream job but also out of her comfort zone and just do something for herself. I loved how she dealt with it but also how forgiven she was. This was the type of story that I didn't get mad when he forgave him because that's just how Abbie is plus Aiden is a great guy overall.
Aiden did his big gesture and I loved it. It was surprising but then it was obvious too. I love the fact that he doesn't mind feeling silly because his reward is Abbie's big smile and that's what he strives for every time.
I loved them together and how good they are for each other.

I loved Ethan too and I wonder if we'll have his story soon if ever. I would love to read it.
Indigo's (Abbie's BFF) showdown with Aiden was everything. I LOVED it! I can't wait for her story next and to find out who's the lucky man.

Not me finally reading this after buying the paperback when it was released but also owning a copy of the special edition BUT YES I finally read it.
I read this pratically in one sitting, it was that good. It's fated mates and star crossed lovers (to a degree) too but also paranormal and fantasy. I loved it!

Damien has been through the ringer and he is so nice and thoughtful. I just love the guy.
Cassie is an interesting character. She was diagnosed with a disease and that has been not great for her which also means she wants to enjoy life but she can't. Until she meets Damien.
There is just something about him that pulls her in and she feels safe, happy but sometimes sad too. 🤐
Some weird stuff happens too which left me with question after question which led to me to not stop reading until I have some answers because yes, this book didn't answer all my questions hence why I look forward to read To Ashes And Dust next. I love when I like a book so much and the next is already out ( i have it on my shelf already and yes, you guessed correctly. I also bought that one when it was released. ) so I don't have to wait to know what happens next. 🙃

I loved their romance and I can't wait for more. I also like the other guys too and I'm excited for them.
Cole deserves a redemption arc and that's my stance. I hated him when he was where he wasn't supposed to however there's more to it than what we know (I'm like 99% sure of it) and I feel like he needs redemption and I hope Miss Luna gives him that. 😉

This had an interesting beginning. A woman divorcing her abusive husband who her BFF is a lawyer but also magical so she tells Eloise she needs to summon an advocate and he will eradicate her problem so they strike a bargain and to cement this bargain, Damien has to drink her blood and his life never was the same afterwards.

I loved Eloise. She was beat down emotionally by her soon to be ex husband and she had her journey to go through where she needed to find herself again and she did it with Damien’s help although he just showed her what he saw when he looked at her but that was the push she needed to face her problems but also stand up for herself.

Damien was sort of a mystery being but soonish we learned what he was and his powers entailed. I loved him. He was the right amount of violent, possessive and protective. They were exactly what each other needed in order to do what needed/ needs to be done but also be what they are supposed to be.

I loved what we learned about Eloise and what’s awaiting us in the next book. I can’t wait to read that one.

What can you expect when one summons a warrior demon with nail polish? Absolute sweetness with a dash of vanquishing of enemies and that is what this story is besides mending brother relationships and healing as well.
I loved that this series is about characters we've heard of before. It is Alexei brothers turns to have their stories told and this one is about his younger brother Sascha.

Sascha is a soft and pure soul but was born in the bratva and even thought he never was really involved and was away for most of his childhood, there were just some things he couldn't escape and ultimately that left him and his brothers with some scars.
I loved that Sascha is the type that is able to love someone even when said someone did horrible stuff. It shows that Sascha knows the nuance there is between someone deserving of love and others that don't. Ivan, his older brother, is a bit of an a__ at the moment but I see bits and pieces and what a complex character he seems to me and I want to read his story asap. It's gonna be so good! 😌
I loved the last conversation they had towards the end of the book which tells me a lot without them having to say it. I love that even though these 3 brothers are inarticulate when it comes to emotions, Sascha was the first to break through and say it. I loved that and I'm eager to see the moment Ivan really appreciates the brother/s he has.

Sascha & Kai were yummy together. They are such a sweet couple with a dash of possessiveness. Kai has been living in The Void and he intends to have one last contract in order to return to the Demon world once again but then he makes a pact with Sascha and his plan go out the window.
I loved Kai. He recognized Sascha hurt and just wanted to make him happy. He was a demon bound by his sweet sweet mate and I loved every moment of it.
Sascha flourish under Kai's watch and it was beautiful to see it happen.
Loved these two.

I loved the briefly return of Alexei & Jay and I very much hope we see them again in Ivan's story.
We met Nix and I can't wait to know what's going on over there.
We also have a new addition named Matteo and he was given the go ahead to summon a demon if he wishes and I'm so excited about it. I just loved when we pick "strays" up and bring them home and just dote on them. It reminds me of Jay and I'm here for it. 🤗

I honestly can't wait for the next book in this series in case it wasn't obvious before. 😅

Oh My! This book is quick, sweet, emotional at times but most of all it's so wholesome.
I loved Cherry & Dom together. I loved the way they supported each other but also that they saw a bit of themselves in the other. They understood each other's struggles and were there for each other every step of the way.
Some might think, like Cherry did, that they moved too fast but honestly like Dom said, they are  getting older and they know exactly what they want out of life and who they want so why wait and waste time? Dom was determined and in the end he got exactly what he wanted as did Cherry. I loved them and their found family. I loved seeing the other characters for the last time.

Halton helping Dom get his son was everything! It brought tears to my eyes and I was NOT expecting that to happen. I just loved the will to fight Dom had in him and his love for his son. It was very touching.
I loved seeing him grow his relationship with Josh. Just writing about it brings me tears of joy 🥹
Dom was such a great character ( Cherry too ). Despite everything Josh's mother did to him, he still was kind to her as well as the others in the Reynolds Restoration family.
Like I said, this whole book was wholesome and I hope you give it a go.
Btw I listened to the audiobook and Maxine Mitchell & John Lane did a fantastic job! It was a great experience and made the book even better.

I'm very excited for Melanie's next release!
