This slowburn was one I didn't know I need it. Ivan & Evelyn are so precious! Ivan is now a bookfriend and Evelyn is a girlfriend cuz how could I leave her. Everything about this story was amazing.
Ivan nature is one that just speaks to my soul. He is so kind, compassionate, caring and damn protective of those who need someone to help them deal with this world and people.
Through Ivan's friendship with Delilah, I knew he was a great guy but in his story he showed just how great he was. His kind self was exactly what Evelyn needed.
Ivan noticed Evelyn first for her eyes and how dreamy they were but he fell in love with her mind and ain't that something guys. I loved watching the way he put himself in Evelyn's radar and how little by little he made himself indispensable to her, in all the good ways.
Evelyn was so sweet, kind and compassionate too with a bit of a 🩸thristy side which I loved. Her brain just works different but that doesn't make her less or an anomaly. I love that she had a great support system and they were there every step of the way to help her in any way she needed. She also tried doing things on her own. I love that she just jump (multiple times) because she wants to experience life. I loved that Ivan was there every time to jump with her. 😭
I swear these two made me cry at random times, whether it was a kind word given or just a hug or just how much they care for one another. Their relationship to me felt not only like they were best friends but also soulmates.
The gang was together at different points and I loved seeing every one of them especially Rhys being rushed out by Evelyn asking him a question. 😆🤐
Delilah was such a great sister and I loved how she demonstrated it by going to spend the summer with Evelyn. 🥹
Marco was such a great surprise. I loved him too and I can't wait to read his story!
J. Wolf has been releasing such great book as of late including this whole series and I hope you gave her a chance and jump. Just like Evelyn always did.

I was very intrigued by Roman in Aldo and I loved learning more about him but also seeing him become enamored with a woman pretty much like his two other brothers.
Roman is so sweet, caring and protective of those he deems worthy but he still thinks he isn’t capable of love because his father took that away from him. 😒
I must say I find that him insisting on the fact he can’t love drove me a bit crazy because he loves those close to him and with Effie he did all the right things and said almost all the right things that indicated he was in love. Did he acknowledged that? Hell no! The guy is dense when it comes to love because he’s convinced he ain’t capable of it. Everyone else around knew what was going on and told him but he still didn’t believe it,
Part of my frustration with this was because he was so dreamy but then he had moments where he was an *** all because he couldn’t imagine love was what he was feeling which brought this book a bit down. I was really loving it until my frustration took the front seat.
With all that said, by the end he did good. When he finally acknowledged what he was feeling was love, he was all in. I love that he said every time once he said it first and that Effie didn’t immediately jumped the wagon even though she was in love with him for a while.
Speaking of Effie, I loved that. She is a soft soul which usually ain’t my style but I just couldn’t help but love her. She is so caring of others and compassionate but at the same time she won’t let others steam roll her just because.
She had no choice but “to go along “ with Roman and the situation and she made the best of it.
Ultimately I loved these two together. I loved their sexy times and Effie exploring her se*uality. Roman did good in that department. He made sure he took good care of her and helped her feel more confident in what she was doing and that’s always a plus in my book.
The side characters ( that weren’t that side characters 😊) were amazing. I loved seeing Nonna, Aldo and Vi again and I loved every moment they were on page.
The evil sister turned out to be more than what I expected and I’m glad she is where she is.
I loved this duet and I can’t wait for Melanie’s next release.

I didn't know what to expect but I knew I was going to enjoy it and I truly did. I read it in one sitting.
Anabelle received an eviction which she believes to be wrong so she goes to the person who issued it and that person was the one and only Asher Voss.
She would do anything to null the eviction so she strikes a bargain with Asher and this is where things started rolling and I was all in.
I liked the "vibes" surrounding The Voss Mansion. It felt almost mystic yet a bit creepy. I didn't know what to think of it but I liked it and I was very intrigued to know what would happen next.
Anabelle was the type that recognizes power when she sees it but she will also stand up for what she thinks is reasonable and fight for what she has or rather what she has left.
I loved her first interaction with Asher and that she didn't do what he wanted to begin with. She didn't back down and I liked it.
Asher was a bit hard to like at first but I was definitely intrigued by him especially because I read the Introduction before reading chapter 1 which peaked my interest even more but was also a fresh way of the author giving a heads up about this story.
Safe to say I end up loving Asher. Once I started seeing his layers and pulling them back one by one, I saw his true self and I loved each part of him.
There's a particular scene where he made me cry. Like... Hello?! I was not expecting it but it just happened. The emotions he was feeling, I felt it too and I felt compassion towards him and I just wanted to hug him.
With that said, he did or said some things that i didn't really like at first but that all changed once he started having feelings towards Anabelle and that won me over.
I liked how his and Anabelle's relationship evolved. Spicy times were awesome too.
I liked seeing more of the Voss brothers and them interacting with Anabelle. I loved her friendships with the staff too.
The roses thing was okay but I wish it could've been revealed differently. I think it could've been a more powerful scene then what it was but I'm not mad about it.
I'm very interested to know more about the other brothers and how they will fall.
Shattered Vows is next and I can't wait to read it!

The narration was so good. Jason Clarke is one of my favorite narrators so this was a treat for me. Ramona Master also did a great job in bringing Iseult’s character to life.
I enjoyed this story more now than when I read it and I think that’s due to the audiobook.

I was very excited for Gio and Iseult's story. Their chemistry was off the charts like i imagined it would be. Their banter was murdery and i loved it.
Iseult delivered on various aspects for me. She was bada**, fierce, lethal and fiery. She was also a lonely one who had a lot of love to give but no one worthy of having it. I did appreciate Iseult journey from being this stoic, grumpy, unfeeling person to being someone just as stoic and lethal when need it but now she could be truly herself with Gio and let herself feel whatever she felt.
Gio was everything and more. I swear the men Lilian writes has one purpose and that is to swoon me off my feet!
Gio was nothing if not consistent since the very beginning. He met this red head woman who tried to un alive him at first sight and he just couldn't help but fall for her spell.
He was persistent and consistent in showing Iseult that he was there to stay and that nothing would keep him away from her and that's part of reason why her pov got frustrating for me because while i loved how stubborn and hard headed Iseult was in the beginning, it then became tiresome when i was 50% into the book and she was still being so resistant towards Gio even after everything that happened and what was said. It got very frustrating because when Gio would give her himself, she would just think they wouldn't go anywhere.
I feel like the fallout of their relationship when it comes to Patrick, Iseult's dad, was too much just because it could've been avoided. She knew Gio was different and since her sister didn't wanted to get married, she could've done something sooner however i did get why she was afraid to commit.
I loved seeing the family together again. Sophie is as always the life of the party.
I loved the bits we got from Hunter and i'm very interested in reading his book and why the hell he went missing.
Gio' mom secret was honestly a bombshell... like what? I didn't see that coming and apparently neither did Lilian but I'm super intrigued and excited to learn more about him and hopefully he will leave his niece alone. Speaking of, that moment Sophie saw Adriel she just knew. I love how intuitive she is and i can't wait to see her relationship with him.
